Two wheeler riders asked to observe No Helmet Day on Jan. 26

Hyderabad: Telangana Two Wheeler Riders & Auto Drivers’ JAC has called upon the two-wheeler riders all over the country to observe the Republic Day as “No Helmet Day” in protest against the helmet being discriminatory like NRC, CAA and NPR law and demand that the Centre announces the use of the helmet is optional.

In a press statement here today, the JAC convener said the society was already subjected to discriminatory helmet law which exempted the Sikh community people from compulsory helmet wearing and permitted them to wear turbans. He appealed to the people to fight against the discriminatory NRC, CAA and NPR law also to fight against the discriminatory helmet law.

He also appealed to the people, particularly two-wheeler riders and auto drivers to participate in the proposed Tank Bund Million March Protest on March 1 demanding “Helmet-se-Azadi” and “Sharab-se-Azadi”.
