UN Officials To Meet Taliban Leaders Over Refugee Crisis

As per the latest updates, UN officials will meet leaders of the Taliban-drove government and examine ways of settling the Afghan exile emergency and layout the reason for their return.

Upon her appearance in Kabul on Sunday, Kelly T. Clements, Deputy High Commissioner of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), tweeted: “In Afghanistan, philanthropic requirements are colossal, with a great many Afghans dislocated. I’m in the country to advocate for help, including for those getting back, and the need to maintain their privileges, particularly of women and children and their capacity to partake in open life.”

In a different proclamation, she said: “We will talk throughout the span of the following days with the break specialists about how we can uphold the necessities of the Afghan public and how we can find answers for those that are outside the country that need to return home and need to have the option to remake their lives in peace and have an Afghanistan that is comprehensive of all.”

Afghanistan has been neglected, the UN official said.

“This is a vital second for this nation and individuals of Afghanistan, it is a period where the world’s consideration has gone to different circumstances of uprooting, other conflict, different struggles,” she added.

As per the UNHCR, Afghan outcasts are the third-biggest dislocated populace on the planet, following Syrian refugees and uprooted Venezuelans.

There are 2.6 million enrolled Afghan displaced people on the planet, of whom 2.2 million are enlisted in Iran and Pakistan alone.
