UP Private Schools Association To Provide Free Education and Concessions to Covid 19 Orphans

Amidst the rising number of the Covid 19 cases and the rising deaths, there has been a new wave of concern for the children who lost both their parents to Covid 19. However, private schools in Uttar Pradesh came up with a solution for the same.

Private Schools Association Comes Forward to Help Covid 19 Orphans 

As per the latest reports, Uttar Pradesh Unaided Private School’s Association (UPSA) President Anil Agarwal released a statement regarding the Covid 19 orphans. He said that they recently conducted an online meeting with the private schools and the Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma.

In the meeting, they have decided that more than 2000 private schools all across Uttar Pradesh will be providing free education to the Covid 19 orphans. They will also be provided with stationery and uniforms.

Covid 19 orphans are the children who lost their parents because of Covid 19.
Agarwal said that along with the Covid 19 orphans, children who lost their earning member of the family (father or mother) will also be given 50 percent concession in their fees along with stationery and uniform.

“The entire educational fraternity has come together to give such children their full support,” he added.

Meanwhile, St Joseph College in Lucknow was the first to implement the decision and announced the free education decision last week.

Uttar Pradesh Reports Below 5000 Covid 19 Cases For the First Time Since Second Wave 

Reports suggest that Uttar Pradesh, which was reporting over 35,000 cases of Covid 19 per day, reported 4844 cases in the past 24 hours.  Even though the number of cases have declined, the number of deaths have remained a matter of concern.

As per the state bulletin, a total of 234 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, the recovery rate has increased to 93 percent.
