In the latest update, the US Food and Drug Administration’s advisory committee has endorsed of Pfizer’s Covid 19 vaccine for childre aged from 5 to 11 years.
The recommendation of the vaccine by the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee will now be considered by the FDA. The final decision will be issued soon.
Similarly, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention vaccine advisory group is expected to make their own recommendation in the coming week. If approved, the vaccine would be provided and protect around 28 million children across the country. Along with Covid 19, the kids will be protected against the Delta variant that has been dominating the nation.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden administration has procured enough vaccines to vaccination all the kids between 5 to 11 years in the US. This shows that as soon as the FDA approves the vaccine, it will be rolled out immediately.

Reports suggest that the US will distribute the vaccine shots in smaller doses and with smaller needles which would ensure that easy administrations for the pediatricians and pharmacists to the kids.
Dr Amanda Cohn, a top CDC vaccine official said that Covid 19 infection is the eighth-highest killed of kids in the age group over the past year. And the usage of Vaccinations will not only prevent deaths but also prevent ICU admissions and any long-term adverse outcomes.
As per the reports from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the number of new Covid 19 cases in the children continues to remain exceptionally high. Over the past six weeks, more than 1.1 million children have been infected with the disease.
