US Vice-President Kamala Harris’s social media seems to be on a roll with her social media accounts after creating another blunder. This time, they released a 9 minute NASA backed video where a content shop called “Sinking Ship” sneaked in paid actors to talk to Harris regarding STEM and space.
Kamala Harris Ridiculed Over Exaggerated Animation and Enthusiasm
As per the reports, Kamala Harris took to Twitter to request everyone to watch her series on Youtube called “Get Curious With Vice President Harris. In the tweet, she said that she loves the idea of exploring the unknown. She wrote that there are a lot of things out there that are yet to be explored and as the chair of the National Space Council, she is eager for the young people to be interested in STEM and space exploration.
While she talked about her love for science and being excited for being able to see the moon craters through a telescope and having big dreams, her exaggerated animation and wide-eyed enthusiasm became a joke amongst audience.
Reports suggest that a child actor spoke about being interviewed for the role and had submitted a monologue. While the overacting in the goof might have passed but the child’s identity got revealed.
Meanwhile, the internet started steering up with wonders if Harris knew how to talk to “real” children. At the same time, some drew parallels of the videos with HBO show “Veep” regarding an incompetent Vice President and a political team.
Critics Call Harris Faker Than Hilary Clinton
On the other hand, the White House official argued that the Vice President wasn’t the one who selected the children for the video. Another official said that the children were explained of their role thoroughly.
However, the critics have formed the judgement after watching the video that Harris was “faker” than Hilary Clinton. Taking advantage of the situation, the Donald Trump’s team has also taken a dig at the Vice President. His son, Donald Trump Jr took to Twitter and called Harris “the most fake human being in the history”. He said that she couldn’t get any more phony that the video.
“Her commitment to cringe is truly impressive!”, he said.
