Vaccination to super spreaders from May 28: Harish Rao

Telangana Government today taken a key decision to start a special vaccination drive for the superspreaders group. This decision help to control the virus spread of Corona cases in the state.

Finance Minister T Harish Rao took this decision and launch the special inoculation drive to the super spreaders. The Government has categorized 25 special groups of super-spreaders in the state. It identified about 25 lakhs of super-spreaders in the state who will get vaccinated in a phased manner.

Harish Rao has held a meeting with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, CMO Secretary Rajasekhar Reddy, health Secretary S A M Rizvi GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, and other officials here at BRKR Bhavan here. First, the government will give vaccination to the super spreaders in the GHMC area as decided in the meeting.

The superspreaders to get vaccines are — Autos, Cab, Trally drivers, Bus drivers, Workers in hotels, Miranda shops, Milk, Paperboys sellers, Hawkers, Roadside traders vendors and others who involve in the open market sale,  selling of essential commodities and others as decided by the government.

With this, the government aims to check the virus spread in the state as there are more measures being taken to combat the cases and pandemics.

The minister instructed the chief secretary and the health officials to identify these groups. Ensure they get the vaccination in all districts and the city he said.

The state government is seriously implementing lockdown after night curfew in the state to control the Coronavirus spread.

The state is now seeing a dip in the Cases and Corona deaths after increasing measures.  All hospitals are equipped with injections, medicines, oxygen beds Remedisever jabs,  oxygen supply a d health staff.

With this measure, the cases decrease in the state giving a reprieve to officials and the Government.
