Hyderabad: The firebrand leader of the Congress party Vijayasanti today reacted on the tragic death of 12-year-old girl Sumedha after falling into a Storm Water Drain (SWD) pit of GHMC.

She asked the chief minister of the state to solve the problems faced by the people of the state before he too was washed away in the wrath of the people of the state. In her tweet, she asked,” Mr. KCR! How many lives should be lost due to the negligence of your government? Vijayasanti said A death of  12-year-old girl Sumedha in Deendayal Nagar open nala. It will be Guinness record if we count the number of the people who have lost their lives after falling into nalas and manholes in the twin cities, which you promised to turn into global cities of the world,” she said.

Speaking further, she told the CM that it had become very common for the ruling party leaders to come forward and console the families of the victims by promising to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.  Referring to the criticism of the rulers of erstwhile AP state by CM KCR in the past, she asked the CM as to what he had done for the development of the state capital during his last six year’s rule.  She said that uncontrolled encroachments of nalas were the main reasons for the inundation of Hyderabad even for a brief spell of rains.
