Hyderabad: The voter slips pertaining to Hyderabad District are going to be distributed shortly, said Dana Kishore, DEO & Commissioner, GHMC. In Hyderabad District there are 15 Assembly Constituencies where more than 3800 polling stations are existing in which Booth Level Officers will distribute this voter slips to the voters in their respective areas.
The DEO conducted a review meeting with all the Nodal Officers and said that as earlier announced, the slips have to be distributed from Monday onwards, but due to various reasons they are unable to distribute the same and it has been decided to distribute on December 2, said the DEO. In every Assembly Constituency two model polling centres are being planned and directions have been given to the concerned for providing them on priority.
The polling booths which are being located in Government schools, the Nodal & Returning Officers must inspect and see that all basic minimum facilities like Toilets, drinking water facilities etc., to be taken care, said the DEO. The critical polling stations must be provided with CC TV Cameras within 100 meters, as announced by the ECI. The Disabled Persons who want to know their polling station, their name and other information can be obtain through VAADA App. Addl. Commissioners Harichandana, Mushraff Ali, N. Ravi Kiran, Vijaya Laxmi, Ziauddin, Chief Engineer and senior officials from Election Wing have participated in the meeting.(NSS)
