We Have Implemented YSR Vahana Mitra Scheme: CM YS Jagan

The Chief Minister of the State YS Jaganmohan Reddy today said that they had implemented the Vahana Mitra Scheme for the third consecutive term in Andhra Pradesh.

He recalled that he had seen the problems faced by the auto and cab drivers during his padayatra and decided to launch the scheme after coming into power to help them.

He said that they had decided to extend the monetary benefit under the scheme one month before by keeping in view the ongoing Covid virus pandemic. The CM made these remarks while addressing a gathering after launching the scheme at his camp office at Tadepally.

Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that the auto Rikshaw and cab drivers were harassed during rival TDP rule and added that he had fulfilled the promise during his 3648 km long padayatra . He said that they had credited Rs.248.47 crore into the bank accounts of 2.48 lakh people of the state.

He said that 84 percent of the total 2.48 lakh beneficiaries were from poor financial background. The state government is giving Rs.10,000 as monetary aid under the scheme to the beneficiaries.

The state government has so far distributed Rs.759 crore so far under the scheme since its launch.
