State Energy Minister G. Jagadish Reddy today Told the state Assembly that they solved Electricity problems within six months of the formation of Telangana state.
He also told the assembly that the consumption of power was increased in Telangana.
Replying to questions raised by the members of the state assembly, Reddy said that the state has 26.36 lakh agriculture connections and added that they had come to the rescue of the power distribution companies by extending ₹36,000 crores of financial aid.
He said that the state average in power losses was very less than the national average of the power losses.

He told the Assembly some electricity accidents were taking place as the construction of houses was taking place near the power lines.
