Hyderabad: State transport minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar on Wednesday conducted a high-level review meeting with the Managing Director of TSRTC and its Executive Directors and other officials at Transport Bhavan regarding assurances given by the Chief Minister of the State K.Chandrashekar Rao. He said that the government was ready to provide job security to all the employees of the corporation and asked the officials to prepare guidelines for the same. The Executive Directors assured the transport minister that they would submit job security guidelines within one week. Puvvada advised every Depot Manager to conduct welfare council meetings every Tuesday and added that the Depot Managers should solve the problems in their control with a human touch and refer other grievances that cannot be solved to higher authorities immediately for solving grievances.
The Transport Minister said that the officers should be considerate of O.D. duties, medical issues, and leaves and advised few officers to change their attitude in the larger interest of the TSRTC. He told the Executive Directors to divide disciplinary cases into three categories as Red, Green and Blue. The serious cases like fatal accidents, drunk and drive cases, etc. should be taken as Red where a serious view can be taken and other normal disciplinary cases as Green and Blue categories, where a sympathetic view can be taken as per the issue. The Minister also advised Executive Directors to hold awareness programs for the public regarding the importance of taking tickets from conductors after paying the fare.
The Managing Director of the TSRTC Sunil Sharma gave directions to the officials to buy mikes for every conductor for making announcements regarding stages and route information to the passengers.
