“Will take out Ganesh Procession on any cost: says defiant Utsav Committee

Following the court turned down the review petition of Bhagya Nagar Ganesh Utsav Committee seeking permission to continue immersion of Ganesh idols in Hussain Sagar Lake, the leaders of the saffron brigade are now talking in recalcitrant tone.

In a defiant tone, the General Secretary of the Committee Dr.Bhagwanth Rao while addressing te media today here said, “The court’s directives are for state government and not for the Utsav committee. Now it is for the government to take a call, we would just wait by the time. We will react after the government’s move and will take a decision following due deliberating with the religious clergy,” he asserted.

Reiterating that the Ganesh Visarjan procession will be held as usual and at any cost, Dr.Bhagwanth Rao said, “Neither the court nor the state has a liberty to snatch our rights. Hence, we will take out Ganesh Visarjan procession at any cost what may come in our way. We will overcome all the hurdles and will take out the procession.

This is the same platform from where the Utsav Committee Premier Dr.Ghagwanth Rao gave a call today for a change in Hussain Sagar’s name to Vinayak Sagar as he was vehemently advocating renaming of places and monuments of Hyderabad claiming it completely just after independence.
