HYDERABAD: Health Minister E Rajender today said that he could not take the first dose of Corona vaccination by heading to a call by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After starting the vaccination program at the Gandhi hospital with CS Somesh Kumar.
He said that Modi gave an emotional call to the country to first administer the corona vaccine to sanitation workers. So following the call of the prime minister I did not take the jab, the minister clarified.
I already said to take the dose and it was given to a sanitation worker Kistamma instead, he said. Somesh Kumar also said that he didn’t take the job as the prime minister gave a call for the first dose to sanitation workers. Else I could have taken the first dose of corona vaccination to clear doubts and fear, he maintained.
At NIMS, Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundarararjan her husband, and noted Nephrologist Dr. Soundarararjan have attended the first dose of administering of Corona vaccination. In Tilak Nagar local health center, Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao attended the same.
At Mahabub Nagar Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud began the Corona inoculation drive. While BC minister G Kamalakar attended the vaccination program in Karim Nagar, panchayat raj minister E Dayakar Rao in Warangal. Ministers and MPs, MLAs attended the same at designated places and districts in the state.
