In Hyderabad, the Youngistaan Foundation’s Climate Action programme planned a unique hike to honour World Environment Day. More than 25 ardent young environmentalists trekked onto the city’s fringes, the Khajaguda Hills. The walk offered a chance to discover the local rocks and discover environmental preservation techniques.
The young people engaged in plogging, a combination of jogging and collecting plastic debris, during the walk. They swept the hiking trail and properly disposed of the plastic bottles they had gathered.
The Youngistaan Foundation’s Climate Action initiative organised a special trek in Hyderabad to mark World Environment Day. More than 25 dedicated young environmentalists made the walk to the Khajaguda Hills, which are on the outskirts of the city. The walk provided an opportunity to learn about the local rocks and environmental preservation strategies.
During the trek, the young people practised plogging, a combination of running and gathering plastic waste. They cleaned the hiking trail and disposed of the collected plastic bottles correctly.
