YouTube Achieves 325 Million Monthly Unique Viewers in India

New Delhi: Google-possessed YouTube on Wednesday announced the platform is currently being viewed by more than 325 million unique viewers (above 18 or more) monthly in India and it is the top platform for viewing videos in regional languages in the nation.

YouTube creators in India are currently entering various categories, driving enormous watch time growth and the streaming stage presently conveys 4.8 greater effectiveness than TV and straightforwardly impacts sales, the organization said referring to third-party information during its yearly event Brandcast.

Sanjay Gupta, Country Head and Vice President, Google India stated, “Each day, millions of Indians are coming to YouTube to express their unique passions and make content that is more personal, accessible and helpful.”

He added, “YouTube today caters to the personal interest of a billion Indians across languages, genres, geographies and age groups, making YouTube the #1 platform for accessing videos in regional languages with Hindi leading the charts followed by Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and others.”

With more than 2,500 content creator channels currently reaching to more than 1,000,000 subscribers, YouTube has seen more than 45 percent development in overall watch-time in July compared to the past year for a similar period, as per information gave by US-based media analytics and measurements organization ComScore.

YouTube said that the watch-time of gaming videos in India developed by 2 times when compared with Q2 2019 and cooking videos developed by 3 times during a similar span of time.

With YouTube turning into a location for learning and education in India, WIFI study with more than 12 million subscribers and over 1.5 billion viewers is currently among the most well-known education channels in the Asia Pacific by subscribers.
