The founder president of YSRTP founder president YS Sharmila has suspended her padayatra due to the enforcement of the MLC election code.
Speaking on the occasion she said that she had decided to suspend her padayatra due to the enforcement of the election code.
She said that she would resume her padayatra after the conclusion of the election code. She has however decided to hold a 72-hour long protest program in support of the paddy farmers of the state.

She said that almost all roads of the state were filled with piles of paddy crops. She expressed her concern that the farmers were saying that they would commit suicide if their paddy crop was not bought by the government.
