YSR’s Birth Anniversary Day to be Celebrated as “Farmer’s Day” in AP

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced here on Monday that July 8th, the birth anniversary of Late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy would be celebrated as Farmer’s Day across the state. YS Jagan stated that the needs of farmers were close to his father’s heart and that during his time he strove tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of the farmer through a slew of farmer-friendly schemes, including loan waivers, free electricity and providing irrigation water, seeds and fertilizers to the tiller. He said that henceforth, all welfare schemes of the YSRCP government would be delivered at the doorstep of the common man.

Jagan also pointed out that the YSRCP government was currently spending thrice as much as the TDP Government spent on pensions to the elderly and the disabled earlier.
