19-year-old Hyderabad student Dies in Canada After Falling From Building

Hyderabad: In Toronto, Canada, a 19-year-old Hyderabad student has allegedly died after falling from a high-rise building.

Panyam Akhil, a resident of Vanasthalipuram in Hyderabad, reportedly fell down while talking on his mobile phone from the 27th floor of the building where he was living.

As indicated by the information that reached his family here, the incident happened on November 8. He fell down from the balcony of his apartment while reportedly talking over his mobile phone. His friends in Canada educated his family about the incident.

Akhil was studying a hotel management course in Canada. After finishing his first year, he had visited home in March this year. The student had returned to Canada in the previous month.

Akhil’s family has reached out to Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao to assist in bringing the body back to Hyderabad. His uncle Babji tweeted Rama Rao for help.

Babji wrote, “My brother’s son Panyam Akhil met with an accidental fall in Toronto, Canada. We are clueless about how to go about bringing the body back to Hyderabad. Request help in bringing the body to Hyderabad.” He added, “ Kindly help us in this moment of grief, sir.”

The minister promised help to the family. Rama Rao replied, “Sorry for your loss brother, Will do our best @KTRoffice please assist.”

Indian Consulate General in Toronto has told the dead student’s family that all efforts were being made to assist the process.
