State Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar said that a total of 9,31,316 people benefitted from Shadi Mubarak and Kalyani Laxmi scheme.
He said that of the total beneficiaries 4,35,365 beneficiaries were benefitted from the BC welfare department 1,11,876 people benefitted from the tribal welfare department 1,95,960 people benefitted from the minorities welfare department and 1,88,212 people benefitted from the SC welfare department.

The Minister said that they had spent ₹7720.8 crores under the two schemes so far. Kamalakar heaped praises on CM KCR and added that the CM had come up with the scheme to ensure the marriage of the girls from poor families. He said that they were giving ₹100116 under the two schemes to the beneficiaries. He said that the scheme would be a continuous scheme.
Commenting on those who committed irregularities to benefit from the two schemes, He said that they had booked criminal cases against those who committed the irregularities.
