At your appointment, tell us how your course of study makes sense for you, it added.

US lawmakers visit Hyderabad

On April 15-16, a bipartisan congressional delegation of US lawmakers paid a visit to Hyderabad to visit the Tata-Boeing and the Tata-Lockheed Martin facilities.

Boeing (Fuselages for Apache helicopters) and Lockheed Martin (Empennages for C-130 cargo planes and wings for F-16 fighter jets) utilize these facilities for their global supply chains and production.

In Hyderabad, the legislators also had a meeting with leaders of U.S. companies and visited the $300 million new consulate compound in Nanakaramguda (Financial District).

The U.S. and Indian firms have created an ecosystem in Telangana for the aerospace and defence industry, said U.S. Consul General Joel Reifman. The visit by this congressional delegation underscores the significant role that the United States sees for India in the Indo-Pacific region.

Among the delegation were three members of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, which oversees defence procurement, technology transfer and export controls, and joint interoperability.

Adam Smith led the delegation, which also included Chrissy Houlahan and Austin Scott.

It is also worth noting that the US-based real estate technology company, Compass Inc., which had opened a development centre in Hyderabad around two years ago, will open India Development Centers (IDC) in Bengaluru in the next few days and Gurugram after that, Robert Reffkin, founder and CEO of Compass Inc., announced on Tuesday.
