Arrangements made for the holy month of Ramzan in Hyderabad

Minister for Minority Welfare K Ishwar convened a high-level meeting to discuss special arrangements for the holy month of Ramzan to ensure uninterrupted electricity, water supply, and sanitation. The minister directed that the repairs to Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid be completed as soon as possible.

State Home Minister Mohammad Mehmood Ali, Minister for Animal Husbandry Shrinivas Yadav, Chairman of SC Corporation Banda Prakash, Government Advisor A K Khan, and MLAs Ameen Ul Hassan Jafari, Riazul Hasan Affendi, Kausar Mohiuddin, Mouzzam Khan, Ahmad Balalah, Ahmed Pasha Qadri  Jaffar Hussain Meraj, M Gopal, K Venkatesh, M Gopinath, police commissioner C V Anand, secretary Minority Welfare Ahmad Nadeem, director Minority Welfare Shahnawaz Qasim, GHMC commissioner Lokesh Kumar, commissioner civil supplies Anil Kumar, and other department officials attended this review meeting.

The meeting decided that the Ramzan gift clothes would be distributed to the poor prior to Eid.

K Ishwar stated that the KCR-led government in Telangana decided to celebrate all religious festivals. In the state, Eid and other festivals are celebrated in an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood.

The minister directed the concerned officials to finish the preparations before the start of Ramzan. Special emphasis will be placed on maintaining law and order. Arrangements will be made to complete necessary repairs near mosques. Road repairs and drainage cleaning will also be carried out, as will uninterrupted power and water supply.

Toilets and ablution facilities will be built near mosques and Eidgahs, according to the minister. He directed police officers to allow hotels and shops to remain open at night rather than forcing them to close.

The minister also directed GHMC officials to ensure that garbage near mosques is disposed of on a regular basis in order to maintain cleanliness.
