Asymptomatic Patients Rush to Hospitals Cause Shortage: HD Srinivas

Dr. Srinivas Rao health director of Telangana today stated that people are pressing the panic button by coming to hospitals unnecessarily for Covid 19 tests.

 

They must not come to the hospitals when there are mild symptoms for three days he said.

He told presspersons that the shortage of oxygen and beds was caused when more people rushing to the hospitals without symptoms and requirements.

Unnecessary rushing to hospitals is not suggested as it may spread any other diseases or virus.

The director stated that 85 percent of people with virus are needless to worry about.

They can get treatment if the symptoms are serious like losing taste, smell, fever motions, and vomiting ailments. Though cases come down now we have to be careful in May month as it may see surge he said

We allocated 50,000 beds for the Corona patients in both Government and private hospitals he informed.

All the hospitals are fully equipped with facilities injections, oxygen, beds and infrastructure as the health staff offer dedicated services.

Since this is the season for marriages and festivals people behave to be cautious. They must not gather to cause virus spread he warned.

Several people thronging the hospitals without symptoms leading to a shortage of beds oxygen and facilities he noted.

Telangana state offered 45 lakhs of vaccines to people so far, the director stated. He also said that 85 percent of people with viruses are needless to join hospitals. There is no need for panic about a second wave of coronavirus as the government has taken all measures.

The state government is fully prepared with adequate beds, medicines, jabs, staff. Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao is monitoring the Corona facilities and the rise in cases.

The officials ready to take on the virus spread and prevent it. People should follow Corona protocols to avoid virus spread or transmitted. After taking vaccines the people must follow protocols like wearing masks, sanitizing hands, and maintaining physical distance, he suggested.
