HYDERABAD: Health Minister E Rajender today said that there is no fear of bird flu in our state. The state government is on high alert and districts bordering other states are monitoring the situation. Bird flu did not cause loss to human beings so far and there is no need for doubt or confusion on this he clarified. Rapid health action teams are formed to check its, spread, and take action the minister said. People should not believe in rumors of its spread and eating chicken and eggs is not harmful the minister said.
Rajender held a high-level review meeting on the bird flu in other states, its spread to others, and measures to contain it from being spread also on preparedness in border districts. Following directions from Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao the meeting focussed on the issue of bird flu which is spreading to some other states.
Animal Husbandry Minister Srinivas Yadav, delegates of the poultry industry, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, and other officers were in the meeting.
Our state is free from bird flu and the people should not fear or worry about it the minister said. He allayed fears that eating chicken and eggs will not cause bird flu. Due to the Corona pandemic, the poultry industry is recovering now and there is no need for panic. The meeting gets, important as the people scared of eating chicken and eggs fearing the Bird flu disease. The government is on extra alert and asked the bordering districts to remain cautious and monitor. We are taking care of migrating birds with special health teams he said.
Srinivas Yadav said that as per KCR instructors the officials are on high alert. Special teams of our wing are closely monitoring the situation, he, said. Now the poultry industry which was hit by the Corona pandemic is recovering Srinivas Yadav said. The people should not feel doubt about eating chicken and eggs as the poultry industry may suffer loss he said.
The government is extra cautious on the bird flu issue he said. People should avoid rumors of its spread and eating chicken and eggs is not harmful he said.
