BRS and Telangana people are not serious about BJP: KTR

Repeating that the BRS will win 90 to 100 seats to complete a hat-trick and that its supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao will be Chief Minister for the third time, party working president KT Rama Rao demanded that the Congress and BJP announce their Chief Ministerial candidates.

Forget about winning the elections; the BJP would not even retain the seats of Goshamahal, Dubbak, and Huzurabad, he said, adding that BRS and the people of the State were not serious about the BJP.

Minister KT Rama Rao was very candid in his observations about various topics during a freewheeling chat with newsmen here on Thursday. He insisted that the Karnataka election results would have no bearing on Telangana, he said in Karnataka, a bad government was thrown out of power.

He criticized BJP leaders, stating that while Manipur was on fire, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his second-in-command Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and eight other Chief Ministers were busy campaigning in Karnataka. Despite the Prime Minister’s PR efforts, the BJP had lost at the polls, he pointed out.

When asked about AIMIM’s reported plans to run for more Assembly seats in Telangana, the BRS working president stated that as an individual party, they were free to run for any number of seats. In response to AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s reported comments that the BRS government had not failed in ensuring minorities welfare, he recalled that the same Majlis chief had showered encomiums on Telangana government for its minority welfare measures, during his campaign in Uttar Pradesh.

He stated that the Telangana government was ensuring holistic, integrated, inclusive, and balanced growth. “In fact, there was a problem of plenty in the State.”
