Centre should resolve farm laws imbroglio : Telangana Council Chairman

Hyderabad: Telangana Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy today criticized that the Centre is creating problems for the farming community through new farm laws. The center should repeal the laws and give confidence to agitating farmers, he demanded.

Talking to media persons he accused the Narendra Modi government of duping farmers through three farm acts.  For about one month the farmers from the north are on protest in Delhi borders against the farm laws.  The center has to ensure MSP for farm produce and purchase food grains and support oil palm production.

He accused the Modi government of being stubborn on-farm laws and farmers’ protests.  The TRS leader asked the center to end the stalemate by holding talks to address farmers’ issues.  Reddy asked the Modi government to refrain from giving the farm sector to corporate honchos and dumping the farmers.  The Northside farmers will get more loss through the new farm laws and they must be withdrawn he said.  The farmers are unhappy with the Modi government which has to consult with the states and farmers.

The state government offers 24-hour free power to the farm sector and Rythu Bandhu,  Bhima he claimed.  The Centre’s amendment to power act will hamper state interests he deplored. On Nagarjuna Sagar by-poll to be held he said that wife of deceased Nomula Narsimhaiah has to get a unanimous election.

The TRS will field its candidate to win the polls with people’s support, he added.  As the unanimous election is good for this seat as the people of the Devarakonda segment got Bharat elected to Assembly after her husband MLA Rajya Naik was assassinated by Naxals he added.
