Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav today instructed officials to complete the process of clearing pending ration cards.
In a review meeting with home minister Mahamood Ali, Mayor G Vijayalakshmi, and officials at his office in Masab Tank here, the minister instructed that the ration supply be done in a hassle-free manner. There are complaints of non-supply of ration items and ASOs should make field visits to check problems, he instructed.
The government decided to take steps to provide ration for all the eligible poor with cards. Ensure that the people get ration and avoid any problems by sorting out related issues, Srinivas Yadav said.

He said that out of 1.77 lakh applications for ration cards, 44,734 were issued, 5353 cards ready and 99,014 are yet to be cleared. Take coordination with GHMC officials to sort out the pending ration cards and ensure timely supply, he said.
The ration shops, filling up vacancies in the department, commission to agents, and related issues to be discussed in the cabinet sub-committee meeting on June 14, the minister said. Out of 670 shops 613 are working and steps are to be taken to supply rations to people.
He instructed to clear the cards seeking changes of details. Out of about 99000 plus cards seeking changes and only 38000 plus were changed and the rest to be changed soon.
