CM Gives Funds for Temples’ Development : Indrakaran Reddy

Endowment and Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy today informed the Council that the government is spending huge funds on the construction of new temples and renovation of old ones.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has offered huge funds for Yadadri temple and Rs 50 crore is being spent to develop Basara temple, he informed. A plan is on the cards to develop Sitharam temple in Bhadradri, he said.

In question hour in the  Council, the Minister was replying to queries by members – Puranam Sathish, Balasani Lakshmi Narayana, Yegge Mallesham, and Prabhakar Rao on temples’ development in Adilabad and Gangapupram and others.

The Chief Minister has offered funds for regular puja rituals in 3645 temples across the state. On par with the staff, the pujaris are getting salaries by the common good fund. Besides Rs 50 crore for the Basara temple, we plan to spend Rs 8.40 cr on guest houses, sheds, and compound walls at the temples at various locations.

We will spend Rs 50 lakhs for Gangapuram temple and Rs 30 lakhs for Gudem Satyanarayana temple development he said.
