CM KCR is scheduled to visit Delhi

On a special flight, K Chandrashekhar Rao will leave for Delhi on Wednesday. He will be accompanied by his wife Shobha, a few Cabinet members and other officials.

The Chief Minister will meet with Union Minister for Food and Public Distribution Piyush Goyal to discuss the ongoing paddy procurement dispute. A meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi might also be possible. Both the Centre and the State are at odds over the paddy procurement, with the Centre insisting on raw rice while the State argues that the Centre procure paddy in accordance with the established norms and have it converted to raw rice or parboiled rice, depending on its needs.

Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, has also called the leaders of all the non-BJP political parties to meet during her Delhi visit. It is learnt that Chief Minister Shobha will also undergo health checks at AIIMS.

During K Chandrasekhar Rao’s three-day visit to Delhi at the beginning of March, the Chief Minister met with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and former All India Service (AIS) officers to discuss the proposed third alternative. Additionally, he inspected the construction of the TRS party office building in Delhi.
