He inspected all small details of the Secretariat complex, including entrance gates, compound walls, railings, staircases, lawns, fountains, parking lots, and other facilities being built on a war footing.

During his visit, Chandrashekhar Rao expressed satisfaction with the construction of chambers for Ministers, Secretaries, and other staff, which provide a pleasant environment and allow them to work more efficiently. He proposed improvements to the facilities in the canteens, dining halls, and meeting rooms.

He was impressed by the newly installed domes atop the Secretariat main building, as well as the strategic placement of lifts in various locations for the convenience of staff and visitors.

When completed, the Telangana State Secretariat will be the only structure in the country with the largest quantity of Dholpur stone used among structures built in the last 100 years. Inside and outside the Secretariat building, terracotta wall cladding was done in the style of the Parliament building. The Chief Minister made several recommendations for interior design, furniture, and other beautification projects.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandrashekhar Rao stated that the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial, which is being built opposite the State Secretariat, will honor the martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana State.

He hoped that the government would continue to operate in accordance with the aspirations of Dr BR Ambedkar and also the Telangana martyrs to guarantee a better future for future generations.

“The State Secretariat complex has been named after Dr BR Ambedkar with an aim to provide good governance to the people and ensure welfare of the poor and other weaker sections. The tallest statue of Dr BR Ambedkar is also being installed next to the Secretariat to remind the people’s representatives and the officials to perform their duties responsibly and effectively,” he said.
