Congress Leader Mohammad Ali Shabbir’s Kamareddy Campaign

Former minister and convener of the Congress Political Affairs Committee Mohammad Ali Shabbir has upped his mass contact campaign in the Kamareddy assembly constituency as part of the ‘Hath Se Hath Jodo campaign’.

Mohammad Ali Shabbir was greeted warmly as he engaged with the public, rousing Congress’ support for the approaching elections, with the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of men and women.

Shabbir chastised the local Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA for allegedly ignoring public complaints over the past nine years during his contacts. He emphasized the good impact of the Congress party’s development projects across the state. According to Shabbir, a growing popular opinion favors the Congress, expressing disenchantment with both the BRS and the BJP.

In his address to the state’s political scene, Mohammad Ali Shabbir expressed his dissatisfaction with the KCR government’s performance, claiming that promises made to various sections of society, including minorities, Dalits, and backward classes, had gone unfulfilled.

He made a parallel between the price of cooking gas cylinders in Congress-ruled Rajasthan, where they are said to be sold for Rs 500, and the current situation in Telangana. Shabbir vowed that if the Congress retakes power in Telangana, he will distribute gas cylinders to needy people at the same low cost of Rs 500.

Throughout the campaign, Shabbir emphasized the Congress party’s commitment to different groups of society, issuing separate declarations for farmers and the poor. Shabbir responded to the prospect of current Chief Minister KCR running from Kamareddy by saying he welcomed the competition. He did, however, express his belief that the Congress party is well-prepared for victory.
