DGCA Approves Winter Schedule 2021 For Flights From October 2021 To May 2022

The central government on Thursday approved the Winter Schedule 2021. As per the schedule, there are 4.38 percent less flights than the pre-pandemic levels. The winter schedule 2021 is effective from October 31, 2021 till March 26, 2022.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA0 has approved the winter flight schedule of 22,287 flights along with a flight roster of 23,307 flights.

The DGCA further informed that around 22287 departures have been approved per week from 108 airports. And out of these 108 airports, Sindhudurg and Kushinagar are the new airports that have been proposed by the scheduled airlines.

As per the reports, IndiGo has the highest approved flights with a number of 10,243 flights. It is followed by SpiceJet at 2995, GoAir at 2290 and Air India at 2053.

Furthermore, Vistara also has approved flights of 1675 and AirAsia India at 1393. Recently, the Centre allowed the airlines to deploy complete pre Covid capacity on the domestic sector.

The passenger air services were suspended on March 25, 2020 due to lockdown across the country to contain the spread of Covid 19. The aviation sector was reopened on May 25, 2020.

Meanwhile, Aviation controller Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), on Wednesday declared an extra Online on Demand Examination (OLODE) for airplane upkeep engineers (AMEs) and pilots from November.

“The presentation of OLODE will expand the recurrence of the required licensing examsand will give more freedoms to the hopeful contender to finish their authorizing prerequisite cycle at a quicker rate,” DGCA said in an assertion.

This will likewise work with those competitors who were influenced due to the Coronavirus pandemic during the most recent two years. “Further, this OLODE is a stage forward towards the Government’s obligation to advance the development of FTOs (Flight Training Organizations) in the nation and simplicity of working together,” it added.

As of now, the DGCA regularly leads licensing examsfor AMEs and pilots around four times each year.
