Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar today launched Eco-friendly Seed Ganesha idols at his office.
Speaking on the occasion Sajjanar said, to celebrate Ganesh festival in a way to protect the environment and increase green cover in the state, the Telangana government has decided to distribute Seed Ganesha’ across the state.
Sajjanar said, Seed Ganesha idols is the brainchild of TRS Raja Sabha Member Joginapally Santosh Kumar. The idol is made with eco-friendly clay mixed with neem seeds, he added.
Today Cyberabad Police Commissioner distributed Eco-friendly Seed Ganesh idols to all the DCPs, ADCPs and other officers at Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
Eco-friendly Ganesh idols have just taken a leap ahead. Earlier made with mere clay and natural colours, they now come with neem seeds embedded inside. Seedless Ganesha idea is the brainchild of Santhosh Kumar, the idol is made with eco-friendly clay mixed with neem seeds he added.
Santosh, who initiated the programme has already taken up the Green India Challenge programme a couple of years ago to plant three crore plants in the state.
CP thanked Santosh and T-News for initiating the challenge that aims to green the environs. He expressed hope that the Eco-friendly Seed Ganesh would spread not just in Telangana State but across the country.
