Farm laws to help corporate cos : KTR

Hyderabad: TRS Working president and Minister KT Rama Rao today said that the party leadership extends support to the Dec 9 Bharat Bandh of farmers across India.

The minister hit out at the Centre conspiring against the farmers and give farm produce to corporate groups. The anti-farmers laws will help the corporate honchos which should be withdrawn immediately.

In a press conference, KTR appealed to the TRS leaders in all districts to participate in the nationwide protest and make it a huge success. The KCR Government has taken a decision to protect the interests of the farmers on the streets for 11 days.

The businessmen and shops should close on Tuesday in this regard and the RTC should operate buses during afternoon hours, he said. The minister appealed that the traders and businessmen should close the shops for two more hours on that day of protest. They have to cooperate for the farmer’s welfare he said.

The Centre has to roll back the anti- farmers laws and take a call as all the parties are opposing the same. The state will see protests by the farmers, people associations and TRS leaders, and its organizations he said. The minister hit out at the Centre for the anti-farmers laws which will help the corporate honchos. The farm acts will deny prices to the farmers and help the corporate groups to loot them he felt. Such laws will not work for the farmers who are on a warpath he felt.

The state government will support the farmers until the farm acts are canceled, the minister said. The Centre has to honor the farmers and their interests for national growth and food security he suggested.
