Follow protocols, new virus not in our country : health officials

Hyderabad: Telangana State Health Director Srinivas Rao and Medical Education Director,  Ramesh Reddy today informed us that there is no need to panic about the new virus spread as they are fully prepared to tackle it.

The new virus is reported spreads 70 percent while the existing virus is 30 percent spread. The new virus is prevalent in Europe, Australia, and Saudi nations, and it’s not in our country.  However,  our government is fully geared up to check the virus and its possible spread.  With effective coordination, the officials are checking people at airports for the purpose.

They said that 7 persons who came from Europe were checked at the airport and were tested negative.  The new virus is not in our country and those coming from abroad should get tested for the same.   On the finding of any virus, they have to be quarantined as per norms.

The state officials have taken cognizance of ICMR and the Centre guidelines to check the new virus,  they informed.  They informed the media that the people have to be cautious as usual and avoid gatherings at festivals and functions.

The health wing is taking steps on a war footing to tackle the virus.  The cases of corona are declined in Telangana and recovery is very high.  They said that only 400 to 500 cases are being reported in the state now.

As per the guidelines of the government are departments concerned are alert and coordinating to prevent the new virus.  Those coming from abroad have to take the tests to avoid the possible spread of the virus the officials said.
