Food delivery, e commerce allowed in lockdown: KT Rama Rao

Food delivery and e-commerce business, which were stopped on Saturday, allowed to work during the lockdown period in the state from Sunday.

As per instructions of Telangana Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao the state police took steps to ensure that the food delivery and e-commerce work as usual as emergency services.

KT Rama Rao responded to complaints against the police who caned and seized the vehicles which led to criticism. MIM Chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi expressed anguish at the police for

beating up the food delivery persons and over action.

He demanded that the police should return their vehicles as the government has allowed food delivery and e-commerce under emergency services in the lockdown period.

On this the minister reacted and instructed the Home Minister Mahamood Ali and DGP Mahender Reddy to allow them.

They instructed the lower officials to relax and allow the food delivery boys and e-commerce business.

Earlier Mahender Reddy denied permission as the boys in huge numbers moving to place causing a problem on the roads. However, with the minister giving instructions, the DGP paved the way for food delivery and e-commerce.
