Government of Telangana is committed to make Hyderabad as Innovation Hub of the country says KTR

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Telangana organized its Annual Session & T-NEXT Conference with the theme Reimagining & Catalyzing Growth for a Sustainable on Friday here.

Minister for IT, Industries and MA&UD, Government of Telangana, KT Rama Rao, inaugurated the conference and handed over Haritha haram, Inspiring People Practices, IPR Essay competition awards, CSR appreciation Momentos to the winners.

In his inaugural address, KT Rama Rao said that there were several doubts during the formation of state on industrialization but during the last six and half years, Telangana continuously remained in the top 5 states list on several parameters and achieved a double-digit for many years and expected to grow at a much faster rate than the national average.

In all these years, the state government has been an enabler for industry and many of the industries in Telangana such as IT, Lifesciences, Defence & Aerospace, Movie, VFX & Gaming, Food Processing are growing and the state continued to attract many investments and renowned organizations from across the world.  He also said that better collaboration between the central government and the state government would bring a big positive change. He mentioned that 35% of the total vaccine production in the world is being manufactured in Genome Valley in Hyderabad and there is a need to have a testing lab locally. The government of Telangana is strongly committed to promote the industry in the tier-II & tier-III towns and making a lot of efforts in this regard.

Krishna Bodanapu, Chairman, CII Telangana & Managing Director & CEO, Cyient Ltd, welcomed the gathering and said that CII, over the year, presented views and issues of the Industry to the Government through regular interactions and worked towards supporting the Ease of Doing Business in the State and supported industry at large in the lockdown in solving their issues. He also said that CII will continue to focus on developing the Competitiveness of the Industry in the State, in several industrial sectors by partnering with the government.

Dr. Rakesh Mishra, Director, CSIR-CCMB, said that CCMB has been focusing on the new Covid variants that are emerging and controlling them. He also said that CCMB is supporting several start-ups and entrepreneurs and collaborating with Industry in solving some of the key problems. He mentioned that the Healthcare industry will be the key driver of economic growth and Hyderabad Lifesciences ecosystem supplying components to many of the major drugs and vaccines in the world and also stated that researchers in Hyderabad are capable of providing solutions to many of the major problems of the world.

Rambabu Boorugu, Executive Director & CTO, Pranava Group said that all businesses should adopt sustainable practices then only could sustain in the long run. The State Government is through Telangana  Haritha Haram is promoting greenery initiatives in a big way that are going bring positive impact.

Sameer Goel, Vice Chairman, CII Telangana & Managing Director, Coromandel International Ltd. delivered the concluding remarks. Over 200 participants from Industry and Academia attended the conference.
