Harish starts KCR Nagar for poor

Hyderabad: Finance Minister T Harish Rao today inaugurated KCR Nagar Colony which houses the poor with a two-bedroom housing facility in Narsapur in Siddipet district.
He gave away the keys to the beneficiaries and asked them to protect them for a long time. Harish Rao warned that the government will seize the houses if the beneficiaries failed to use the same properly.

The Minister asked the owners of the new houses to refrain from renting or selling the same and instead protect with cleanliness and greenery. The government will take them back if the beneficiaries do not protect them, he added. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has offered these housing facilities across the state for the self-respect of the poor, Harish Rao said.

The Minister said that KCR’s dream of giving free houses to the poor is becoming a reality now. Each house costs around Rs 8 to 9 lakhs and it costs about Rs 40 lakhs to Rs 50 lakhs outside. The Telangana Government under KCR leadership has been completing such projects on a war footing he claimed.

No other states in the country have similar housing facilities and the chief minister gets that credit the Finance Minister said. Like an elder brother in a family, KCR offers marriage incentives of Rs 1 lakh towards poor girls’ marriage.

Besides giving pensions and KCR Kits has been a huge success as government hospitals are witnessing a huge rush by common people he said. The 2 BHK gets all modern facilities like CC roads, power, water, lifts, and underground drainage system, gated community and security as well he said.
