Hyderabad: Hajj pilgrims asked to deposit 2nd balance instalment

The Telangana State Hajj Committee has stated that the Hajj Committee of India asked pilgrims to deposit the 2nd balance instalment Hajj amount.

Hajj pilgrims are asked to make a payment of Rs. 1,20,000/- online, via State Bank of India branches or Union Bank of India’s core banking system, by using the unique bank reference number specified on the website’s paying-in slip, as they did for the first advance payment.

Mohammed Saleem, committee chairman, stated pilgrims can also pay via check in favour of the manager of any branch of SBI and UBI along with a bank challan of the Hajj Committee for stamping.

Pilgrims are requested to preserve safely the original bank challans of payments, which can be submitted to the committee at the time of departure for reporting.

By circular -19, the Hajj Committee of India will provide uniform baggage to pilgrims this year. The baggage will be delivered to the pilgrims’ cover head address as specified in the Hajj application.

By May 14, pilgrims must confirm the baggage delivery address via the Hajj portal, the Hajj Committee of India Mobile App, or the website for direct delivery of baggage to residences.

According to Saleem, the Hajj Committee of India, vide circular 17 informed that the waitlisted applicants are to apply for government quota seats using the form available on the website athttps://hajcommittee.gov.in for release of the quota seats.

In Hajj House on Thursday, he instructed officials to forward 1534 passports to the Indian Hajj Committee immediately. They have been dispatched for endorsement of visas and preparation of travel documents. B Shafiullah, Executive Officer, TSHC, was present.

The first Hajj training camp will be held on May 18 at the Hi-Tech Garden Function Hall, Malakpet, from 10.30 am to 5 pm. Saleem requested that all selected intending pilgrims attend all of the camps to learn about the Hajj rituals and logistics.
