Hyderabad Police to get new mobile numbers; Check For New Numbers

All Hyderabad City Police mobile numbers are set to change due to the decision to switch the service provider for the department, which has been using cellular services for years.

Hyderabad City Police’s contact numbers will change as the department switches from BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) to Airtel. BSNL has been the mobile connectivity provider for the Hyderabad City Police for years, but the police department has recently opted to switch to Airtel because of network performance problems.

Officials cited frequent call drops, connection problems, and poor mobile data as reasons for switching the network provider.

Airtel has signed an MOU with a better plan at half the price, officials said, adding that the City Police will gradually switch to the new service provider by replacing current numbers with new ones.

Hyderabad Police’s new series will begin with 87126-60-XXX and 87126-61-XXX. Officials said the last three digits of these two series are arranged logically for ease of identification by the general public.

From August 1, the new mobile number series will be in operation.
