The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has projected a return of rain to Hyderabad, with rain possible over the next four days. According to the weather forecast, Hyderabad will get mild to moderate rainfall or thunderstorms through Sunday, with foggy conditions in the morning.
The weather service has issued a yellow notice for the whole Telangana region until August 19, predicting thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and other similar weather events. Heavy rain is forecast for the state on August 18 and 19.
The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) predicts mild to moderate rainfall or thundershowers in isolated areas throughout the state until August 19. Similarly, the outlook for Hyderabad is for light rain or thundershowers in scattered areas during the next three days.

Telangana has received above-average rainfall during the current monsoon season. The average rainfall in the state is 585.3 mm, compared to the normal amount of 482.7 mm. The average rainfall in Hyderabad during this monsoon season is 450.1 mm, exceeding the normal rainfall of 377.5 mm.Despite the El Nino year, several districts in Telangana have reported excessive rainfall, contributing to the region’s overall wet weather pattern.
