Irregularities in Vaccine Distribution: Govt Orders Intelligence Inquiry on Vaccine Distribution at NIMS

The Telangana government has ordered an inquiry by the intelligence department over the irregularities committed in the distribution of the Covid virus vaccine at NIMS in the city.

It was found that the authorities of the NIMS had administered the vaccine to 7000 ineligible persons.

commenting on the issue the director of the institute Dr. Manohar said that the inquiry was going on in the issue and added that the matter was sub-judice now.

He also said that the inquiry was also being done on the role played by the deputy medical superintendent of the institute KV Krishna Reddy in committing the irregularities.

The director said that they were gathering the details of those who took the vaccine during the month of March and April this year.

He made it clear that they would take action against the officials concerned if it was found that they administered the vaccine without obtaining the details of the Aadhar cards of the Beneficiaries.

He also said that they would take a decision on the issuance of the certificate after the completion of the vigilance inquiry.
