Telangana Government today decided to go in for global tenders to acquire more stocks of injections to push its vaccination drive.
The cabinet chaired by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragati Bhavan has taken the decision of Global Tenders to get more vaccines to cater to the needs of the people.
Right now the Government is offering the second dose to people and stalled the first dose due to shortage and nonavailability of adequate injections.

During a discussion, the chief minister decided for the lockdown to continue till May 22 and also call Global Tenders to get more doses of vaccines to break the Corona chain.
Cases surge and court directions led to the decisions of the lockdown and global tenders to get more stocks of injections to contain virus surge. In the wake of injections shortage in the state health officials prefer to offer a second dose to people.
