KCR hits out at Congress, asks Telangana people not to entertain the party

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday warned people not to entertain the Congress party because it has neglected Telangana’s development during its rule, stating that it has neglected the state’s development.

Unlike his usual broadside against the BJP, Rao only addressed the Congress party at a public meeting here. The apparent shift in KCR’s speeches occurred after the Congress won power in neighboring Karnataka in the recently concluded Assembly elections.

In describing Telangana’s achievements, he stated that the state leads the country in per capita income and per capita power consumption despite being in a state of power outage prior to its formation in 2014.

KCR slammed Congress leaders for claiming they would abolish the ‘Dharani’-land records management portal if they were elected, saying it is nothing more than encouraging middlemen.

“BRS government means farmers’ kingdom. Congress is proclaiming that it would abolish the ‘Dharani’ portal. It is nothing but encouraging middlemen. Do we want it?” he asked the public.

Nowhere in the world, he said, are schemes like Dalit Bandhu being implemented. He additionally stated that the (undivided) Mahabubnagar district, which used to see people flee to Mumbai for work, is now seeing reverse migration.

KCR had earlier inaugurated the Integrated Collectorate Complex and District Police Office.
