KTR, Bhatti spar on city development, 2 BHK

Hyderabad: Municipal and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today hit out at Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for criticizing the government of failing on development programs.

KTR ridiculed that the leader of the opposition Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is really reluctant to recognize the development which has been acknowledged by other parts of the country and institutions through surveys.

Replying to the members in Assembly during its session, the minister said that huge funds are being used to complete several development programs.
We spent Rs 67000 cr for city development and the congress regime spent only Rs  4636 cr he said.  He said that plans are on for city development under the SRDP program and others to make it a global destination.

The city is witnessing rapid growth and the Congress is unable to digest its development,  he fumed.  The Congress completely failed to develop the city and state and list 2014 and 2018 polls,  he said.  Both KTR,  minister Srinivas Yadav and Bhatti Vikramarka got into a verbal dual on city development and double bedroom houses, and city development.
Congress had the dubious distinction of not addressing water,  power issues as industries,  people staged a protest, KTR charged.  The TRS regime is addressing the issues one by one and completing the program.

We took up the development programs that were not taken up by the congress, such as public toilets,  double bedroom houses,  Annapurna food free during COVID time and for Rs 5 per meal and others.

The government spends funds as planned for city development and the congress makes political remarks,  he said.  The Congress denied facilities for the people who rejected them in elections.

Later Bhatti Vikramarka asked to know whether one lakh 2 BHK units were completed by the officials or the government.  When Srinivas Yadav said that they built double bedroom houses,  Vikramarka said that he will come for a visit to see the same.

KTR assured that the 1 lakh double bedroom houses will be completed in the city by December. The state has no say on metro rail services and charges as the center seizes of the matter, he clarified.
