Malakpet’s IT Tower Project Aims to Boost IT Sector in Telangana

K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, lay the groundwork for the IT Tower project in Malakpet, Hyderabad. Asaduddin Owaisi, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), and Malakpet MLA Ahmed bin Abdullah Balala attended the ceremony.

KTR promised to finish the IT Tower project in Malakpet in 36 months. He voiced confidence in the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party’s capacity to win the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections, citing the BRS government’s calm climate and harmony during festivals.

KTR indicated that the IT Tower project will encompass 11 acres and feature both IT and non-IT sectors, producing 20,000 to 25,000 employment. A skywalk will also be built to connect the Malakpet Metro Station to the IT park.

KTR emphasized Hyderabad’s considerable expansion in the IT industry, stating that the city has beaten Bengaluru in the creation of technology jobs over the previous two years. According to a NASCOM estimate, Hyderabad generated 33% of total technology jobs in India the previous year, rising to 44% this year.

With a budget of Rs 700 crore, the IT Tower project in Malakpet is part of the Telangana government’s effort to decentralize IT sector growth within the state.
