Mallu Ravi Lashes Out at Modi for Hatred Statement

TPCC senior Vice President Mallu Ravi today lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his statement on the formation of Telangana State.

He said Modi had insulted the people of Telangana with his statement. He said the statement of Modi that the Telangana Bill was passed in parliament by closing its doors was a classic example to show the hatred of Modi towards Telangana State. He claimed that the Prime Minister was raising the separate Telangana sentiment by sensing that the Congress party would come into power both in the State and at the Centre.

Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan, Mallu Ravi said the Congress had fought for the formation of the Telangana State for 60 years and added that the then UPA government had constituted Justice Sri Krishna Commission and collected opinions of all sections of the society. He said the people of the State had formed different types of JACs and fought for the formation of Telangana State. He reminded that no political party had opposed the formation of the Telangana State when the separate State Bill was introduced in Parliament. He said the BJP had also extended its total support to the formation of the separate State. He alleged that the BJP government at the Centre got the approval of several bills despite their opposition by 23 opposition political parties.
