Man Abandons Mother After Complaining Of Breathlessness in Uttar Pradesh, Woman Dies

With the rising panic across the country regarding the spread of the Second Wave of Coronavirus, a young man reportedly dumped his 58 years old mother on the road suspecting of being infected with the pandemic virus.

Woman Dies After Son Abandons Her Suspecting Covid 19 Infection

The incident occured in the Tad Bagiya area of Chakeri, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The woman is the wife of Late Lt. Col and lived with her son in the Makkupurwa area. Police out-post in charge Manoj Kumar Pandey spoke to the media about the incident.

He said that on Sunday, the woman complained of breathlessness to her son. Following which, he insisted on getting her admitted to some hospital and planned to take her to his sister’s married house in the Tad Bagiya area. But he suspected that his mother was suffering from Covid 19 and then dumped her on the road nearby and left.

After the police learned of the incident, they immediately reached the location and took the woman to Ursula. But she died later.

The police assured that a case has been registered against her son under the relevant sections of IPC. Although he is currently on the run, they will arrest him soon.

Uttar Pradesh Approaches 3 Lakh Mark for Covid 19 Cases

As per the latest reports, there are currently over 52,000 active cases in Lucknow itself. Data released from the State Health Department stated that there were more than 2.97 lakh active cases in UP and 1,11,65 deaths have been recorded so far.

Furthermore, up till April 25, the State recorded 208 new deaths and 35,614 fresh cases of Covid 19. At the same time, 25,633 people have recovered.

The highest Covid 19 cases in UP districts are recorded by five districts. It includes Lucknow (52,068), Varanasi (17,321), Kanpur (16,916), Prayagraj (16,333) and Meerut (11,455).
