Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) spokesperson G. Niranjan Reddy today alleged that Municipal Minister KTR should take responsibility for the death of 12 years old Girl Sumedha Kapuria by drowning in to open Nala at Malkajgiri Friday KTR should resign from the Ministry for the reckless handling of his Ministry.
In a statement here today Niranjan said, the residents of Greater Hyderabad are living in hell and frightening conditions and afraid of coming out in rain. KTR misguiding the people with figures and wasting the time of officials with his review meetings without taking up any concrete measures to safeguard the lives of the people.
Why the precautionary measures were not taken at vulnerable places as the heavy rains were taking place for the last several weeks. Having known that a woman was drowned at the same place a few days back. Why the care was not taken?
Niranjan asked Who is responsible for the death of a young girl Sumedha? Who is responsible for the agony of her parents?
Is it not the failure of the Minister KTR, Legislator Sri Mainampally Hannumanth Rao, Corporator, and officials. They should be arrested by booking Criminal cases against them for negligence on their part.
Ruling the State for the last six years, If KTR blames and talks loosely against previous governments for the lapses public will not entertain anymore.
During the recently held Assembly session on September 16, KTR rudely countered Bhatti Vikramarka for questioning on Hyderabad Development. He said, Are they not having eyes to see the Development while going on Hyderabad roads, but God had shown the state of development to the world on the same day by pouring every rain and plight of the people.
KTR went to the extent of saying that within a few days there will be a TO LET Board to the Congress Party Office, Gandhibhavan. This shows is arrogance. The Ministers MLAs, MLCs, Corporators, and unfortunately some senior officials are very busy with praising and doing Bajan of KCR and KTR instead of taking care of the people. The TRS Government is not having the intention to safeguard the lives of the people but more interested in collecting the money by pinching and coercing the people in the name of LRS. This Government totally failed in safeguarding the people from Carona and untimely downpours.
The criticism of Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLA Leader of MIM in Assembly which is a friendly Party of TRS itself proves the plight of Hyderabad Development. He said on the floor of the house, KCR promised to develop City as Istanbul but no step was taken in this direction and Metro Rail is not extended to Old city. (NSS)
