“Miracle baby”- 21-day-old girl found floating in wooden box on river Ganga in UP

The ghats of Ganga witnessed a baby floating inside a wooden box in the river today in Uttar Pradesh. Spotted by a local boatman, the newborn infant was later taken to an orphanage by the police.

The incident came to light after Gullu Chhaudhary, the boatman, noticed the box floating in river Ganga along the Dadri Ghat in Ghazipur after the baby’s cries caught his attention. Believing it to be the blessing of God, he took the baby home.

The 21-days old baby girl was found wrapped in a red transparent cloth, enclosed in a wooden box that adorned pictures of Gods and Goddesses along with her birth chart. The boatman, who also works as a priest, said that it also contained the horoscope details of the infant.
