Ranchi: A Muslim boy was murdered by two people from his own community for stopping cow slaughter in Jharkhand’s Garwah area.
As per the police, the episode occurred at Uchari town in the Garwah area late on Monday night. The youth, recognized as Mohamad Arzoo (18), was murdered after his throat was cut by two individuals from his own community. The alleged murderers – Kaiel Kuraeshi and Munnu Kureshi – have been taken into custody. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
The state’s Drinking Water Minister Mithilesh Thakur arrived at the village and went to visit Sasar Hospital in Garhwa on Tuesday to discover more information about the occurrence, where the son’s mother told the entire story requesting tough activity against the accused.
Asking justice for her son, the mother of the dead stated: “My son used to prevent people from slaughter cow, for which he faced resistance from our own community members. On Monday night, two youth killed my son.”
Inspector Rajesh Kumar stated: “It has been alleged by the deceased’s mother that her son was killed by three persons as he had been insisting them regularly to give up slaughtering of cows, which created unwanted squalor in the area.”
In the FIR, Khatoon named three people – Munnu Quraishi, Kail Quraishi, and Khalid Quraishi, he included.
The prime blamed Kail Quraishi is infamous for assaulting individuals with sharp weapons which he utilized for butchering animals. He had harmed his relatives and family members a few times previously, police said.
Kumar stated: “All aspects will be taken into consideration before coming to any conclusion in the case.”
